Benn Harradine: “I love my athletics. I have enjoyed it since the day i started, and thats what keeps me going. There is a whole lot to smile about.  Sure the training is tough. The ups and the downs can be trying but im just exstatic to be doing what I love full time.

There are times to be serious and times to stand up for what you believe in and times to fight but part of what I enjoy most is sharing my journey with people. Experiencing new things, travelling and spending time with new people.

We throwers have a difficult time being included and accepted on the athletics circuit. We deserve to be respectd and given the equal chance to be promoted and marketed for the characters we are but a part of that is also feeling comfortable with your own image and not trying to pretend to be someone or something you are not.

After all, our careers are too short to be serious all the time and I want to remember my sporting life not only for my achievements but for the fun I had along the way.
